In a shocking and horrifying incident, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked by an intruder at his Bandra residence. The attacker, who initially targeted Saif’s son Jeh’s bedroom, was bravely confronted by the actor, who suffered multiple stab wounds in an effort to protect his family. Saif was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. Fortunately, he is now stable and recovering from his injuries.
Speaking about the incident during a promotional event for his upcoming film Sky Force, Akshay Kumar expressed relief and admiration for Saif’s bravery. He commented: “It’s very good that he is safe. It’s very good. We are happy. The entire industry is happy that he is safe. “It was very brave of him to protect his family and I take my hat off to him.”
Akshay, who shares a bond with Saif since their Main Khiladi Tu Anari days, lightened the moment by humorously adding, “I did a film with him Main Khiladi Tu Anari, but next time we will do the film Tu Khiladi.” (I did a film with him called Main Khiladi Tu Anari, but next time, if we do a film together, we will make it Tu Khiladi).
Meanwhile, Mumbai Police arrested the accused, Mohammed Shariful Islam Shehzad, a 30-year-old man originally from Bangladesh, in Thane. According to officials, Shehzad had entered India illegally, assumed the alias Vijay Das and worked for a cleaning agency. Police revealed that robbery was their main motive. DCP Zone 9, Dixit Gedam, revealed that Shehzad had been in Mumbai for 5-6 months before moving nearby. After his arrest, he was produced before the Bandra court and remanded in police custody for five days.
As Saif continues to recover, the incident has sparked widespread safety concerns, and the industry has rallied around him and his family in support.
On the work front, Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of Sky Force, an action-packed thriller that will hit theaters on January 24, ahead of Republic Day. Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur, the film stars Akshay as an Air Force officer on a revenge mission after losing his comrades.
