New Delhi: Conversations about menstruation can still make parents and teens a bit uncomfortable. However, they need some good knowledge about this before entering a new phase of life and making decisions about their health. The guide was formed by taking insights from British teenagers, who identified the most prominent problems adolescents face during the menstruation phase. In order to develop a new experience, Amazon partnered with the period poverty charity Freedom4Girls, to use their research guides to teach alexa on issues that include seasonal poverty and where low-income families can access seasonal products in the United Kingdom.

When a user requests period information, Alexa will respond by looking for UK information. national health service (NHS) website.

“It’s very important that both teens and parents are able to properly communicate with each other about periods. Whether you’re embarking on your first menstrual cycle or helping someone you know prepare for their experience,” said Tina Leslie , founder of Libertad4Chicas.

UK residents can now use Alexa to help guide these period conversations through a series of utterances. That’s because nearly two-thirds (65 percent) say easier access to quality period information would make them feel more comfortable having these kinds of conversations with their family.

“Alexa, how do you use sanitary pads?”
“Alexa, what is the typical age to start your period?”
“Alexa, what are reusable menstrual products?”
“Alexa, where can I get free period products?”
