Gurugram: Samsung has introduced a new ‘Medical Records’ feature in its Samsung Health app in collaboration with Eka Care, a health technology company. This feature allows users to create and access their Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) directly through the app, allowing them to manage health data from healthcare providers across India.
Samsung’s initiative aims to provide users with seamless and secure integration into the country’s network. digital health ecosystemaligning with the Indian government Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) project.

This feature allows users to manage their health history, track progress and maintain better control over their well-being,” said Kyungyun Roo, CEO, Samsung Research Institute, Noida.
The Medical Records feature is the result of a collaborative effort between Samsung’s R&D, UX Design and Consumer Experience teams and the Eka Care team. With this feature, users can register for a ABHA account within the Samsung Health app using your Aadhaar or mobile numbers. Once registered, users can access their medical history, including prescriptions, lab results, hospital visits and more, all securely linked to their unique ABHA IDs.

Additionally, during OPD visits at ABDM-compliant hospitals and clinics, users can simply scan a QR code via the Samsung Health app to obtain a virtual queue token, minimizing waiting times.
The Samsung Health app offers comprehensive health services, including medication management, sleep monitoring, mindfulness programs, and irregular heartbeat notifications. All Samsung Health users’ data on their devices is protected by the defense-grade Knox security platform.
