Weight Loss Tips from Isabelle Morris (Instagram)

In hustle culture, health often takes a backseat. The go-to regimen seems to be weight loss. But it’s not just about dieting and losing weight. The idea is a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. It is important to get rid of unhealthy weight and fats that can be a catalyst for various health complications. This is the story of a fitness influencer, Isabelle Morris. As a certified physical therapist and nutritionist, she shares her transformation journey and healthy lifestyle routine on her page, which has 133,000 followers.

In one of her posts, she talks about her fat loss phase and how a few simple steps helped her be simple “in it.” Her caption reads: “First, I want to say that there is NOTHING wrong with before.” This was me after bulking up last year, and I put in years of hard work to get to “before.” I’m very proud of that!! But I was feeling lethargic, sluggish and just didn’t have much confidence in my skin, and I’m happy with the changes I made… (sic)’.

Here’s Morris’ workout routine that helped him lose 25 pounds. In his 5 step rule, two exercises worked for him: –

  • Strength training: Strength training is essential during a fat loss phase to preserve muscle and actually target fat loss (rather than just weight loss).
  • Steps and Cardio: I have a step goal of 8k-10k that I hit daily! I also added 2-4 cardio exercises per week (20-30 minutes of jogging or cycling sessions) which helped me a lot with my goals!
High cholesterol: The popular hot drink that could help slash levels by 11%

Apart from these, he focused on:

  • High volume and high protein: A calorie deficit is key to a fat loss phase, BUT that doesn’t mean eating less!
  • No restrictions: I eat dessert every night and go out every weekend. This stays the same whether it’s cut, bulk, or neither! You just have to incorporate it into your tracking.
  • Consistency and Patience: the most important thing. It is CRITICAL to keep going for long-term results. My goal was to achieve a realistic fat loss of 0.5 pounds per week on average!

This routine worked for Morris. However, one must chart their own weight loss routines according to each individual’s body needs and with the guidance of professionals.
