What is T lymphocyte therapy?
Cell therapy because T is a type of immunotherapy used to cause the immune system of a patient with cancer to fight cancer cells. Dr. Kaushal Kalra, head of the department of oncology, said that in this therapy, the patient’s immune cells are extracted and genetically modified. After that, these cells are injected into the patient with cancer, so that he can fight cancer cells.
How did therapy go?
The team of doctors extracted the patient’s immune cells and sent them to the laboratory to be genetically modified. After that, these cells were led to fighting cancer thanks to an in vitro method and they were produced by millions. When these cells were ready to fight cancer, they were inserted into the patient’s body. After the end of this therapy, positive symptoms were observed in the patient. Doctors say that the patient can take a while to recover completely.
