Research On Animals: today World Welfare Animal Day Is. The purpose of this day is to talk about animal protection in the world, if any species is in danger then it is to be saved. If an animal is being tortured, then the animal has to be protected from its hands too, but today we are going to introduce you to such a fact. Millions of animals are killed or burnt every year in the name of researching medicines made for humans. Interestingly, the Animal Welfare Act has been simplified in this case to kill animals in testing, that is, if animals are killed in the name of research, then no action can be taken. Let us try to understand the game of death happening in the name of research in 10 points.
1. Every year more than 100 million animals are burnt in the name of research in American laboratories. They are crippled or they are poisoned to death.
2. 92% of experimental drugs that are safe and effective in animals fail human trials. Drugs become extremely dangerous during research.
3. Laboratories using rats, birds, reptiles and amphibians are exempted from minimum protection under the Animal Welfare Act (AWA).
4. 90% of animals used in US laboratories are not counted in official statistics for animals tested.
5. Europe, Israel and India, the world’s largest cosmetic market, have already banned animal testing for cosmetics, and the sale or export of new animal-tested beauty products.
6. Reserve animals can be abused and tortured under the AWA. There is no provision for legal action in it.
7. According to the Humane Society, more than 50 experiments are needed to register a pesticide. For this about 12 thousand animals are used.
8. In some trials the animal is given a substance every day for 2 years. Some other tests include killing pregnant animals and testing their fetuses.
9. Optional test 3 R(Reduce, Refuse, Recycle) is used. In this neither the number of animals is reduced nor the pain given to them is reduced.
10. Several cosmetic tests are commonly performed on rats, rabbits and guinea pigs. It is related to the skin and eyes. These are rubbed on the saved skin and injected into the eyes without giving any painkillers.
