29 Pharma Cos Shortlisted By ICMR For Monkeypox Vax, Kits: Report

On July 27, 2022, ICMR invited Expressions of Interest (EOI) via email from experienced vaccine manufacturers/pharma companies/R&D institutes/in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) kit manufacturers for joint collaboration in the following two categories – Also Read – Rent spree! “We received 31 applications from pharma companies till the last day of bidding. At our last meeting on Friday, we shortlisted 29 applications, but that doesn’t mean all of them will be part of the project. The documents will be verified and their experience assessed before ICMR collaborates with them,” said a senior ICMR scientist, requesting anonymity, Mint reported. The report added that while 8 pharma companies have submitted applications to develop a monkeypox vaccine. While sent, 23 companies are interested in making the test kits.
