The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), in its latest report, has revealed some commonly used medicines for treatment. However, these medicines have not passed the quality check. These include some medicines commonly used by people. These also include paracetamol, calcium and vitamin D tablets.
These drugs failed quality control
Pantocid tablet is also among the drugs declared as failed by CDSCO. This medicine is used to treat acid reflux. This medicine is manufactured by Sun Pharma company. Apart from this, Calcium and Vitamin D tablets have also failed the quality check. At the same time, Shelcal and Pulmosil injections have also failed the quality check. These are used in the treatment of high blood pressure. Moreover, Alkem Health Science’s antibiotic Clavam 625 has also failed the drug test.

CDSCO has published the list
The CDSCO has released the list of counterfeit, adulterated and misbranded drugs, medical devices, vaccines and cosmetics. These include Pulmosil (sildenafil injection), Pantocid (pantoprazole tablets IP), Ursocol 300 (ursodeoxycholic acid tablets of Indian Pharmacopoeia). Apart from this, a sample of Ursocol 300 tablet, used in the treatment of gallbladder stones, has also failed. Along with this, it is also used in the treatment of certain liver diseases. This medicine is from Sun Pharma Company. Telma H (telmisartan 40 mg and hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg tablets IP), Deflazacort tablets (Defacort 6 tablets) have also failed the test.

48 drugs also unsuitable
According to the information, the CDSCO has also released a list of 48 drugs which are not considered to be of standard quality. Along with this, the companies that manufactured these drugs have released their statements regarding the same.
