There are two types of food that people can reduce in their diet to lead a healthier lifestyle, according to the NHS.

One type of food is sugar, as the NHS website states that the nation consumes “too much” of the substance.

And the second type you should consider to reduce your consumption are starchy carbohydrates, such as potatoes, bread, rice, pasta and cereals.

The NHS encourages people to look at nutrition labels to find out how much sugar is in what they’re eating, advising us to buy more greens and amber and fewer red in our weekly shop.
