Viking diet lets you pillage the fridge and stay healthy

A diet can improve your health even if you don’t lose weight, a study suggests, as long as you eat like a Viking.

Researchers have found that a modern version of the diet that would have sustained Scandinavian raiders, with lots of fish, berries, whole grains, seeds, nuts and rapeseed oil, lowers cholesterol and improves blood sugar levels. Keeping it up for six months would lower your risk of heart disease or stroke by 10 to 15 percent, even if you’re still overweight.
