what is finger clubbing

“Clubfingers” refers to the way the tips of the fingers appear. If the fingers are together or their tips are raised or hot or if their color is discolored or if the nails are facing down, then one should be careful. Because these changes can indicate serious lung or heart diseases. It should therefore not be ignored.

Dr. Ahmed says that due to many heart diseases, the fingers appear together. There may also be serious reasons for this. These may include lung cancer, bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis or lung abscess. So you have to be careful. How to test for joined fingers?

Dr. Ahmed says to bring your two index fingers together so that both nails are touching. It’s like you’re making a heart sign with your fingers. There should be a small window at the base of the two nails. Dr Ahmed says if you feel like your fingers have become clubbed, you should go to the doctor and get checked out.
