Railways will now wash used blankets in 15 days and know which diseases will reduce the risk

Indian Railways Sleeping Bags: Those who travel by train will no longer have dirty and smelly blankets. Railways will now wash blankets found in sleeping bags in 15 days. Considering the complaints of passengers, Indian Railways has taken this decision. Let us tell you that passengers traveling in the AC coach of the train are provided with bedsheets.

Recently, in response to an RTI, the Railways said that the distributed blankets were washed only once a month. In such a situation, people who use these blankets run the risk of contracting many diseases. Now when these covers are cleaned in 15 days, the risk of these diseases will also decrease.

Diseases caused by using unwashed blankets

1. Skin allergy

Not washing blankets on trains for several days and using the same blanket by multiple passengers can cause the proliferation of bacteria, viruses or fungi. Dirty blankets may also contain dust particles or mites, which can cause skin allergies, itching, or rashes.

2. Skin infection

If there is moisture in the blankets and they are not dried properly for several days, the risk of fungus growth increases. This can cause a skin infection. The skin may also be damaged.

3. Risk of asthma

4. Cold, cough, pain

If the blankets are not washed for a long time and are used by many people, they may become infected with viruses or bacteria, the use of which may cause colds, coughs or sore throats.

5. Danger of viruses or flu

If the blanket was used by a sick person before you, it can spread the flu or a viral infection. Blankets containing dirt or bacteria can also cause boils.
