While both patients and doctors initially struggled to adopt it, both are now using it extensively as one of the primary channels of care delivery. Hospitals and doctors who were initially reluctant to use telemedicine for a variety of reasons, quickly embraced it and built services around it.

- Lack of resources: There is still a shortage of manpower in terms of trained doctors, nurses, physicians and other human resources and lack of consumables, medical equipment, medicines and hospital infrastructure to meet the growing demand of our growing population. There is a lot of effort going in this direction but the gap is huge and it will require disruptive measures to make it better.
