Brie Larson Makes Kettlebell Windmills Look Like a Literal Breeze

Brie Larson She loves sharing her workouts on social media, and many have already wowed us, including her. one arm push ups, weighted chain curlsY one minute pull ups, just to name a few. The last video of him, published May 23 on Instagramdoes not disappoint

In the video, Larson is doing another impressive strength training move, this time using a kettlebell. It may not seem that difficult at first glance, but if you’ve ever done a kettlebell windmillYou’ll know this is quite a challenge, especially with what appears to be quite a heavy weight: a 18 pound kettlebell.

“point of view you are @risemovement [Jason Walsh, her trainer] telekinetically controlling my stability via Zoom,” Larson captioned the video. The “Captain Marvel” actress can be seen breathing heavily and trembling a little under the weight of the kettlebell as she slowly lowers and raises her torso. Walsh comments, “Good control, that’s all.”

Similar to Triangle pose in yogaThe kettlebell windmill requires a degree of hamstring flexibility and balance, but adding the weight also requires core and upper-body strength. If you’ve never tried this move, start with no weight or a very light kettlebell or dumbbell. Make sure to support your legs on a strong, stable base, and as you move your torso, keep your navel engaged to engage your core muscles. Focus on keeping your spine straight, moving slowly so you don’t strain your back or neck. (When in doubt, feel free to ask a trainer for help, preferably one with a kettlebell certification.) Do the same number of reps on both sides and as you get stronger you can progress to heavier weight.

Who knows, you could be at Larson’s level in no time.
