Dehydration Symptoms: If you want to avoid dehydration i.e. lack of water in the body, then you have to drink enough amount i.e. about 8 to 10 glasses of water every day. But sometimes dehydration occurs even after drinking the right amount of water. And you can understand it by the thick yellow color of urine, bad breath, no sweating or very little. All these are symptoms of dehydration i.e. lack of water in the body. Now you know why dehydration can happen even after drinking water.
1. Wrong way of drinking water
Some people drink up to a liter of water at a time and then remain thirsty for hours or they do not remember that even water is to be drunk. Doing so adversely affects the health of your kidneys. When you drink so much water at once, then urine comes quickly and water does not stop in the body. Therefore, water should always be drunk in one or two glasses throughout the day.
2. You are doing the correct calculation
Even in the case of water, the need of every person’s body is different. In general, the suggestion of drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water is not necessarily applicable to everyone. Because athletes, farmers, dancers or people engaged in other occupations related to physical labor need more amount of water because their body sweats more. Therefore, even after drinking 10 glasses of water, they may complain of dehydration.
3. Deficiency of Electrolytes
Dehydration occurs even when there is a lack of electrolytes in the body and drinking enough water does not work. Because electrolytes like sodium, magnesium, potassium, phosphorous etc. work to transport the fluid in the right amount throughout the body. They also help the kidney to do its work properly. Dehydration also occurs due to lack of electrolytes in the body.
4. Undiagnosed Diabetes
When the level of sugar in the body increases, the body repeatedly works to expel this sugar through urine. People who have dehydration problem even after drinking water, they should pay attention to the frequency and quantity of their urine. If necessary, do a sugar test as well.
5. You’re Not Getting the Right Drinks
If you think that whatever liquid you have taken works to hydrate your body… then you are thinking wrong. Because from coffee, cold coffee, tea, soft drinks to soda drinks, all these things work to remove excess amount of water from your body. That is, they themselves do not give hydration to your body and also work to flush the water that is in your body.
