A Kansas City-based company issued a voluntary authorization memory on June 1 involving various types of cheese after it was discovered that the products may be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes.
The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) declared in a warning that the recall affects cheeses produced by Paris Brothers Inc. on May 4, 5 and 6 and that no illnesses have been reported to date.
Affected products were distributed to supermarkets in Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Iowa, Oklahoma, Nebraska, South Dakota, as well as a store in Mississippi and another in Florida. Stores include Fareway, Price Chopper, and Super Saver.

The cheeses contain lot codes 05042022, 05052022, or 05062022 and are the only products in the recall.
