Curd Benefits For Health: Whenever there is talk of curd, the image of only white curd emerges in the mind of all of us. Because our generation is familiar with only this form of curd. But let us tell you that there is no practice of making only white curd in India. Rather, until about 15 to 20 years ago, red curd was made in the villages. This red curd is much more delicious and nutritious than white curd. This is the curd, whose raita is prepared and allowed to be eaten with food by Ayurveda. And by eating this red curd with chapati, the body becomes strong.

The process of making red curd is much more energy consuming than making white curd. That’s why red curd is now made in very few houses even in villages. To make this curd, milk is cooked on low flame for 8 to 10 hours, for which Barosi is not used but stove or gas. The process of cooking milk in Barosi is called Doodh Otana. When this milk is cooked for 8 to 10 hours, then both the increase and change in the properties of milk takes place. Then the curd made by cooling this milk is far more nutritious than white curd.

Ayurvedic method of eating white curd

  • According to Ayurveda, white curd should not be consumed with food. Especially it is absolutely forbidden to eat this curd with salt. Because if you eat curd regularly with food, your digestion is also disturbed and the chances of getting skin disease also increase.
  • White should always be eaten with sugar or jaggery.
  • You can eat this curd after breakfast in the morning and before lunch with sugar.
  • Fruit raita made from white curd can also be eaten.
  • Raita made from white curd can cause white spots on your skin.
  • To remove mouth ulcers, eat white curd three to four times a day. If you want, you can add sugar to it.
  • White curd should not be used at all for making kadhi. Curd made from curd harms the digestive system.
