Linser’s Landing opens to provide mental health services

ZANESVILLE — Allwell Behavioral Health Services has long recognized the need for a place where young people can get away from difficult situations, relax and focus on their individual needs.

With young people and their families facing difficult times and stressful situations, the community deserves a place that offers a calm environment that promotes safety, compassion and support, Allwell said in a news release.

A support center for youth and families, Linser’s Landing, recently opened at 2575 Olde Falls Road. It is named for Jeff Linser, a long-time physician and advocate for youth and adolescent treatment in the area. Linser has collaborated with local agencies for decades to develop programs and activities to help children and families in crisis. Allwell has made his vision a reality with the new multifunction facility.

The location will provide respite and de-escalation services as part of a new Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS) program at Allwell, both on-site and within the community. This calm and welcoming environment will promote the safety of youth and their families. The site will offer individual and family services, including skill-building groups and parent cafes for parent education and support groups. It will also house the MRSS Crisis Response team.
