Vicky Pattison has written an impassioned post about mental health after admitting that life has “kicked [her] a**e’ recently.
The 34-year-old TV personality took to Instagram on Tuesday and shared photos of herself, one posing on a red carpet and the other a candid selfie where she looked somber.

She wrote: ‘Courage doesn’t always roar… Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day that says, “I’ll try again tomorrow…” Mary Anne Radmacher.
“I have wanted to write this post for a long time, but I felt like my mind was under such a cloud of fog that it was difficult to articulate what I wanted to say, so bear with me.
“I think some days we just have to accept that life is going to kick our butt. The last couple of weeks have taken a toll on me a little bit – it’s been this crazy mix of unbelievable highs and then really intense lows and then afterwards I felt like I was on a roller coaster, not knowing if what was around the corner was going to be a really good, exciting moment or something more difficult and testing.
“I know every day can’t be big wins, beautiful moments and clear skies, it has to rain a little bit, but, and I know everyone can relate to this, sometimes it doesn’t feel like a bloody monsoon.” ??!’

Vicky said she hopes that speaking up about her own mental health will help others who feel the same way.
She said: ‘Wanted to post this in case anyone felt similar or maybe felt like there was too much rain in their life and they were way behind on some sunny spells ☀️
‘Rolling knees, bad chapters, hard days, even hard weeks…they don’t last forever. Sooner or later, we all win.
The clouds part and things get a little better. That’s life, and these setbacks don’t define us, it’s how we move forward that shows who we really are.
Vicky wrote: ‘I think some days we just have to accept that life is going to kick our ass. The last two weeks have kicked me around a bit.
‘So go ahead, keep smiling and understand that every day you do that, every time you say to yourself under your breath ‘I’ll try again tomorrow’, it takes a lot of courage and you should be very proud of yourself.
‘And the next time you find yourself in the eye of a storm, be kind to yourself, get away from it all and focus on the things that bring you peace, create your own “umbrella”.
‘Whatever that looks like to you. You probably already have it: it’s your “go to” things that make you feel warm and secure.
The star added that she plans to talk to “no one” for the rest of the week and will “set healthy boundaries.”

She wrote: “This week I will see practically no one but my dog, I will eat good things, work out a little, set healthy boundaries, watch sex on TV and cry a little in the bathroom, and that is my umbrella ☔️
‘Find yours and don’t be afraid to use it when the clouds start rolling in.’
