New Delhi: The National Health Authority First Hackathon under (NHA). Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission Hackathon Series Started from 14th July to 17th July, 2022. The Hackathon is being organized under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM). Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and PUNE SMART CITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION LIMITED (PSCDCL).
Diverse teams of innovators, developers and data experts will join the event to be held at the Smart City Operations Centre, Pune, Maharashtra. The event series will be conducted virtually to create collaboration and innovative solutions.
Inaugurating the hackathon, Dr RS Sharma, CEO, NHA said, “Similar to the role played by UPI, Unified Health Interface (UHI) will act as a market enabler and provide multiple health services. This is a unique effort to develop interoperability between healthcare providers and facilitate the exchange of healthcare data – which can ultimately make quality healthcare accessible and affordable for all. “
Adding further to the hackathon, Dr. Sharma said, “This hackathon is the first in a series of hackathons that we are planning to hold. It will encourage the country’s young talent to contribute to the building blocks of our digital healthcare ecosystem. Create innovative solutions for the country and the world.”
Besides UHI, the hackathon also focuses on dynamizing the health start-up ecosystem in India by bringing together individuals and organizations to develop innovative solutions. The provisional prize pool for ‘Round 1 – Kickstarting UHI’ is ₹60,00,000. Solutions will be evaluated by an independent jury. Prizes will be awarded to the top performers on each challenge track on two main themes. The two tracks are Innovation and Integration Track.
The Innovation Track includes a challenge for innovative solutions to power digital health in an open network around various use cases such as teleconsultation, ambulance booking, lab test, physical consultation booking and lab test booking. The integration track involves the challenge of accelerating the development of applications that are compatible with UHI and integrating these applications with applications from other such participants to enable digital health transactions over the UHI network.
