Bengaluru: HealthPlix Technologies Announced the launch of its new feature – ‘Drug to drug interactions‘ (DDI). DDI is an intuitive feature that sits on a company EMR To help doctors recall molecule-to-molecule interactions at the point of care. The indicator feature is designed for doctors in India and aims to reduce their time to write prescriptions.
The feature is live on the company’s platform and optimized to prompt these interactions when doctors prescribe drugs to their patients. Currently, doctors rely on the support of external websites/platforms to understand these interactions which adds to the total time for writing prescriptions. With HealthPlix, doctors benefit from the information made available to them in the company’s EMR.

Commenting on the feature release, Subhdeep Mondale, Vice President – Products, HealthPlix Technologies said, “This new DDI feature will help them by suggesting interactions between incompatible drugs. With a robust global interaction library, we intend to partner with organizations that specialize in drug-drug interactions, as well as cite research publications to support our claims.

The best part is that it is displayed on the screen but not printed out on paper. In addition to prescribing medication based on the diagnosis, the DDI provides suggestions for medications that may be relevant to the course of treatment.”
A well-defined reference interaction library can help doctors identify potentially unsafe combinations of drugs. Additionally, the Company plans to enhance its database/information by integrating with global third-party providers specializing in drug-to-drug interactions. HealthPlix expects its reference interaction library to grow from 4L-10L by March 2023.
