Michael Mosley’s ‘go-to breakfast’ for rapid weight loss

Weight loss guru Dr. Michael Mosley is the man behind the 5:2 diet and Very Fast 800 Keto.

The 5:2 sees contestants spend two days a week fasting on just an 800-calorie crutch and following a healthy Mediterranean diet for the remaining five days.

The Very Fast 800 is a shorter-term rapid weight loss solution, in which dieters consume just 800 calories daily for two to 12 weeks.

This low calorie diet will be moderately low in carbohydrates and high in protein that prioritizes the Mediterranean style of eating.

But no matter what weight loss plan you’re following, the expert suggested there’s one key breakfast you should eat.

Those following a Mediterranean diet should stock up on healthy fats and oils, full-fat yogurts, nuts, fiber, dairy, a variety of multi-colored vegetables, and protein.

Dr. Michael emphasized that those hoping to lose weight should be careful about the meats they eat.

On his website, Dr. Michael revealed his ideal breakfast for weight losers: “Start your day with eggs.”

He continued: “Boiled, poached, scrambled or in an omelette, they will keep you full for longer compared to cereal or toast.”

He explained that eggs are rich in protein, B vitamins and selenium.

He also claimed that slimmers who eat them will not raise their cholesterol, contrary to popular belief.

The onions you put in the omelet are high in prebiotics, which feed the good bacteria in your gut, and the mushrooms are packed with vitamin D, especially if left out in the garden for an hour before cooking.
