Jammu and Kashmir [India]23 Sep (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Center for Peace and Justice Foundation (JKCPJ) organized a mental health workshop and orientation session on career guidance at Dubai Grand International School, HMT, Srinagar.
The JKCPJ team, accompanied by a mental health counselor and career guidance expert, engaged with students and addressed their struggles related to mental wellness and career guidance.
When asked how to deal with feelings of being left out by parents compared to their siblings and how to deal with sibling rivalry, JKCPJ mental health expert Syed Manaal Andrabi suggested, “Speaking directly to parents and make them understand how their behavior and the different treatment of the siblings are hurting and affecting the mental health of the children”.
JKCPJ career guidance expert Aman Jaswal, who is also a career guidance expert and final year research fellow in the UK, briefed students on the importance of career guidance and how to look beyond career options traditional. He suggested that, “It is very important that students realize that they are playing to their strengths and not their weaknesses. With the right support and guidance, a child can take proactive steps early in their academic and career journey.”
Staff and students thanked the JKCPJ team for understanding and notifying the student’s needs.
