The actor best known as SHIELD agent Phil Coulson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe proudly announced on his Twitter that he received the 2022 Pacific Clinics Champion of Mental Health award. Gregg will be honored at the Clinic’s annual celebration event, which will take place on October 15 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. In response to his announcement of the honor, Gregg simply said, “And what a ride it’s been, kids.”
The MCU star has been outspoken about maintaining his mental health for years. In a 2018 interview with Men’s Health, Gregg revealed that he suffered from panic attacks while on vacation, which contrasted with his stability while working on film and television sets. With the help of a book that taught him about cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Gregg has been able to treat his problem without the need for medication.
“It reassures me knowing that wherever I am, I don’t have to wonder if there’s a pill around; I just know I can do these exercises and it will become manageable,” Gregg said.
Will Coulson return to the MCU?
Gregg’s Agent Coulson played a major role in bringing the Avengers together in Phase 1 of the MCU. The SHIELD agent first appeared in 2008. Iron Man and its 2010 sequel, iron man 2, to supervise Tony Stark. in 2011 ThorCoulson was assigned to the New Mexico desert to investigate the God of Thunder’s stranded hammer before attempting to recruit him for the Avengers Initiative. But when the team finally got together in 2012 The Avengers, Coulson met a fatal end at the hands of Loki.

As fans continue to wait for a Coulson’s revival in Phase 4Gregg recently poured cold water on those hopes. “If there’s ever a time where I or my alter ego can be useful and participate in any of that, I’d be thrilled, but right now I’m just enjoying it as a fan,” Gregg said.
