Lewis Capaldi goes on most relatable foul-mouthed rant of all time about ‘hating the f*****g gym’

We all hate the gym, right? Lewis Capaldi certainly does:

Even people who like the gym, or at least say they do, must secretly hate it a bit. Does anyone really want to try, pushing yourself until you’re hot, sweaty and out of breath, when could you pass the time watching TV?

I’m not saying the gym It’s a bad thing – in fact it’s great for staying healthy and I make it a point to go a couple of times a week myself. But that doesn’t mean I’m having fun while running on the treadmill or struggling to do a few lunges, no matter how much better and more accomplished I may feel afterward.

I know for a fact that I am not alone in this, because Capaldi spent a good couple of minutes Instagram ranting on this exact topic.

came later the singer he’d just finished a gym session, and wasted no time getting to the point when he began, “I just got back from the gym and I just wanted to come over here and say I hate it.”

Speaking from the much more pleasant location of his bed, the singer proceeded to list all the things he hates about the gym, with an additional ‘f*cking’ thrown in there with almost every one of them to really convey his hate.

“I hate the lights, I hate the fact that there are always mirrors there so I can see myself fucking sweating, struggling to get over it,” he said.

“I hate the internal battle you have to have with yourself to keep doing it, I hate lifting weights, I hate putting them back down, I hate when you do the ones that aren’t really that heavy, but they burn.” your arms, I hate that damn burn.”

The singer came for my own heart as he described his sheer hatred of burpees, before throwing squats, split squats, chest presses, pull-ups, bench presses, and bicep curls into the mix for good measure.

The best fruits for the heart, definitely include them in the diet

Most of all, though, Capaldi hates the one thing that so often forces us to keep exercising even when we don’t want to.

“You know what I hate most of all? I hate the fact that it makes me feel better…because then I’m like, oh fuck, I need to keep doing this because of my fucking mental and physical stupidity.” wellness. I hate that,” she said.

You and me both, Capaldi. But still, we go to the gym.
