Nick Carter Raising Money for Children’s Mental Health Following Brother Aaron Carter’s Death

“So grateful for the outpouring of love and support for my brother,” Nick wrote on an instagram story. “In his memory, an endowment fund has been started to benefit @OnOurSleevesOfficial, a leading children’s mental health organization serving families across the United States.” The post linked to a donation form for On Our Sleeves, an organization that provides mental health educational information to communities across the US and helps connect families with local resources.

“My family and I are overwhelmed by all the love and support you have shown us over the past week since Aaron’s passing,” Angel wrote in your own instagram story post. “The incredible memories you’ve shared of Aaron have made me smile at an incredibly dark time.”

“Mental health is so incredibly important,” he continued. “It’s not talked about enough and it’s often overlooked. Mental illness causes so many different problems in your life and can lead to serious problems like addiction. In Aaron’s honor, an endowment fund has been established to benefit @OnOurSleevesOfficial, a leading children’s mental health organization helping families across the United States.”

“Aaron was an incredibly kind, gentle, talented and funny person,” he concluded. “We hope you choose to remember the Aaron we all love dearly and continue to share those beautiful memories of him. Love Angel.”

Both Nick and Angel had strained relationships. with Aaron towards the end of his life. Although the cause of death has not been released, Nick has alluded to Aaron’s struggle with mental health as a factor in his death. “Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss,” he wrote in a statement after Aaron’s death. “But the truth is that addiction and mental illness are the real villains here. I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know.”
