  5. Citrus fruits: It contains octopamine, a substance that triggers headaches. People who cannot tolerate acidic fruits can also get headaches from oranges, sweet limes, lemons and grapefruit.
  6. Artificial Sweeteners: It contains aspartame, which lowers dopamine levels and triggers headaches.
  7. Other: Cauliflower, eggplant, cured meats, canned fish and peanuts are some of the headache-inducing foods you should avoid.
