mental health company rose health took home the crown Wednesday at the annual TRAILS startup competition hosted by the Seattle Center for Healthcare Innovation Grove of Cambia.
The Baltimore-based startup aims to strengthen relationships between patients and providers through self-care tools for patients and a dashboard for doctors.
“Rose’s health prescription for successful behavioral health intervention is a combination of advanced technology and human connection,” said Rose’s medical director. matthew peters, an associate professor at Johns Hopkins, during his online speech before a panel of judges. Each health care client works with a Rose Behavior Specialist.
The judges heard presentations from four other startups in the competition, which focused on behavioral health.
As the winner, Rose will work to develop his platform with Providencia Digital Innovation Group Y MultiCare Behavioral Health Network, partners in this year’s competition. The startup, founded by the CEO kavi misria former healthcare investment banker, recently raised $1.7 million in seed funds.
Cambia Grove, which houses an incubator space in Seattle, was created by a Portland-based nonprofit Change Health Solutions, the parent company of Regence and other health care companies. The goal is to break down the silos between healthcare startups and established market players.
Previous topics in the TRAILS (Traction and Implementation Leads to Solutions) competition, which launched in 2018, were primary care, pediatric development, clinical workflow, and palliative care.
