Shimla: To boost immunity among children and prevent disease, Prime Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu led the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh has decided that the vaccination program in the state would now be implemented through the YOU WIN portal.
The program had been running as a pilot project in the Solan and Sirmaur districts.
Complete information on maternal and child vaccination in the state will be available on this portal. Solan and Sirmaur districts had been included among the few selected districts in the whole country, under the project sponsored by the Centre.
The data of all state vaccination recipients will be available on the portal. Complete information on vaccination after the birth of the child will be available on this portal.
Previously, vaccination-related information was only available through an offline medium. This portal also links directly to the delivery room, so correct and accurate information is available. All government and private hospitals are also being linked with the U-WIN portal, an official said.
