Get alert for those who sleep less than 5 hours in the night, this silent killer disease will become a big threat in future

Sleep Deprivation: Many studies claim that not getting enough sleep has many bad effects on the body. You must have heard about this many times. However, due to today’s busy schedule and lifestyle, many people are not able to complete 8-9 hours of sleep. In a study, it has been claimed that getting less than 5 hours of sleep at night increases the risk of blood clot formation in the body by three-fourths. Researchers in Sweden have found that not getting enough sleep increases the chances of developing peripheral artery disease, in which the blood supply to the legs and arms is reduced or stopped.

6,50,000 adults were included in this study. An attempt was made to find the relationship between sleep duration and this disease in all adults. Research has found that people who fall short of the recommended 7 to 9 hours of sleep may be at risk of peripheral artery disease. According to The Sun’s report, Dr. Shuai Yuan of the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm said that getting 7 to 8 hours of sleep at night can reduce the risk of peripheral artery disease.

The risk of ‘heart attack’ may increase!

Around one in five people over the age of 60 in the UK suffer from the condition, which can increase the risk of heart attack and stroke. This problem is more common in smokers and people suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol. In this disease, symptoms like hair loss of legs, pain while walking, numbness, weak nails and ulcers can be seen. Previous research suggests that not getting enough sleep can also increase the risk of heart disease, which causes clogged arteries.
