Him Ganga scheme will start with Rs 500 crore
Himachal Pradesh government is trying to promote milk production in the state. For this Him Ganga scheme will be started. According to media reports, the state’s Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Chandan Kumar told that the dairy industry has to be promoted in the state. A complete system is being prepared for this. Him Ganga Yojana will be a big step in this direction.
Will buy milk from farmers for Rs 100 a liter
The state government says that the milk procurement system, milk processing unit, marketing will be further improved under the scheme. The state government will prepare different products of milk. In preparing these products, milk will be taken from the farmers only. Cow’s milk will be given to farmers at Rs.80 per litre, while buffalo’s milk will be given at Rs.100 per litre.
Kangra will become tourism capital
The state government is going to take another big initiative. In this, the help of Asian Development Bank will be taken. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has announced to develop Kangra district as a tourism capital. For this, a tourism development program is being started at a cost of Rs 1311 crore. For this only the help of Asian Development Bank will be taken. The state government will develop facilities like zoo park, golf course in Kangra.
