According to an Instagram update, the 31-year-old is currently working on “getting her health back” after being put on a ventilator and medically induced into a coma.

Husband Danny took to his Instagram account on Thursday to provide a cane updatewho started getting very sick a few weeks ago.

“A few weeks ago, Lexi kept getting sick and couldn’t keep any food down. Then she started acting differently, so I took her to the hospital where they put her in the ICU, put her in a medically induced coma, on a ventilator and I what his organs began to fail,” he writes.

In the emotional post, Danny revealed that Reed’s situation was so dire that doctors had told him that if he had waited another day, the outcome could have been fatal.

“He is currently on dialysis, cannot walk and is working on recovery. Unfortunately, we do not have insurance,” she added.

Danny thanked fans for their support, writing, “Thank you all for your prayers, you all mean a lot to us and this will be a long and hard battle as part of her story, but she is strong!”

Reed rose to fame in 2016 when she began documenting her weight loss journey on Instagram under the username ‘chubby fed up.’ Since then, he has garnered a lot of support online and has amassed over a million followers.

Danny’s post received a lot of attention from fans who chimed in with wishes of support for the fitness influencer.

“Wow. This was shocking to see. I’ve been following her for YEARS. This feels personal (as I’m sure many do). My thoughts and heart go out to her and her family at this difficult time!” one commenter wrote.

Another added: “You should start a go fund me page. Sending love.”

In response to the flood of messages from fans asking how they can financially support Reed’s recovery, Danny said he is considering starting a GoFundMe to cover his medical costs.
