New Delhi: The National Health Authority (NHA) under its flagship scheme Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) is building a comprehensive digital health ecosystem for the country.
Since its inception in September 2021, ABDM has achieved significant growth with over 23 crores ABHA Number, 1.14 lakh health facilities registered in Health Facility Registry (HFR), 33 thousand Health care Professionals under the Healthcare Professionals Registry (HPR), 6.6 lakh ABHA app downloads and 3.4 lakh health records of individuals are linked to ABHA.
As more individuals, healthcare professionals like doctors, nurses, paramedics and health facilities like hospitals, nursing homes, wellness centers, clinics, diagnostic labs, pharmacies are connecting with ABDM, digitization of health records is becoming possible. For digitization of old health records, ABHA app or any other Personal Health Record (PHR) application can be used to scan and save records. By linking these digital records to their ABHA, individuals will be able to connect digitally with professionals and facilities and access quality and affordable health services regardless of geographical distance.
To further the mission and acknowledge the cooperation and active involvement of the concerned States and Union Territories in improving accessibility and affordability of healthcare services, NHA will recognize the top performing States/ Union Territories, districts and health facilities for their contribution under ABDM.
According to the ministry’s data, Andhra Pradesh tops the list of ABHA-linked health records, with 69,683. Uttar Pradesh, with 26,824, topped the number of onboard health facilities. Andhra Pradesh, with 16,194, also tops the number of healthcare professionals onboarded.
The highest contributing states/UTs, districts and health facilities during the 50-day period from August 1, 2022 to September 19, 2022 will be recognized during the first anniversary of the scheme under four categories as follows:
Category A: States/UTs having the highest number of health records per one lakh population from August 1, 2022 to September 19, 2022 in the State/UT.
Category B: Districts having the highest number of ABHA(s) affiliated health records per one lakh population in the district from August 1, 2022 to September 19, 2022.
Category C: States/UTs achieving highest percentage saturation in HFR and HPR registry population in private and public sectors by September 19, 2022.
Category D: Government and private sector facilities with the highest number of health records with ABHA(s) in the 50-day period from August 1, 2022 to September 19, 2022.
NHA will also recognize the top performing ABDM integrators based on the number of health records linked to ABHA numbers in the 50-day period from August 1, 2022 to September 19, 2022. Top performing integrators from government and public sector will be recognized. separate categories.
