We are ending Mental Health Awareness month by talking about ACEs: Adverse Childhood Events/Experiences.
ABC15 Health Insider Dr. Shad Marvasti says that these are early traumas that can affect social and emotional behaviors later in life.
Dr. Shad says that ACEs are very common, with the CDC reporting that nearly 60% of adults surveyed experienced at least one ACE before the age of 18, with 1 in 6 experiencing four or more.
