Jen went on to say that Amy’s three-year-old son is the comedian’s biggest motivator, explaining, “The little man handles all the motivation for me, so this lady always comes in focused and ready.”

Amy struggled through the pregnancy, suffered extreme illness, then underwent an emergency C-section, which was fraught with complications due to her endometriosis.

She then had her uterus and appendix removed in 2021, so she needed to rebuild her fitness from the bottom up.

Speaking about Amy’s exercise regimen post-surgery, Jen said: “She was living with pain, so our goal has been to build strength and freedom in movement, whether it’s sweating.” [session] with me, on stage or jumping into the sea with his family.

Amy struggled with her health during pregnancy

Of the workouts that Amy prefers, Jen explained that it involves Pilates and core strengthening sessions.

“We had to do a lot of rebuilding around its core [and] where before there was much weakness. It lights up when faced with a new Pilates move.”

Amy isn’t the only celebrity fan of Pilates: Meghan Markle he swears by the practice, too, calling it, “Hands down the best thing you could do for your body.”

She continued, “Your body changes immediately… give it two classes and you’ll see the difference.”
