Changing the conversation around women’s health, Dr. Desai opined: “In our approach to women’s health, one of our core beliefs is to partner with medical research and the scientific community to develop features of the heart. Women’s health is an understudied area.
When it comes to including technology in health care, Dr. Reddy said that cardiology remains the main area in which to work. “The use of technology facilitates the understanding of risks. Empowering people is key to preserving the health of the population. There is data that comes from many channels, but it needs to be analyzed to get actionable insights,” said Dr. Reddy.
Dr. Reddy also clarified the role of robotics: “I don’t want to say that robots are going to start delivering drugs, but they will help nurses. The role of robotics is also in the operating room, automation and AI-enabled care pathways, as there is a global workforce that has the ability to use it.” He also emphasized how telemedicine played an important role in rural India and provided remote care.
