Juvenile Arthritis: Arthritis which we call arthritis in common parlance. This is a very painful disease. In this, there is a problem of joint pain, swelling, stiffness in the hands and feet, although it is considered a disease of the elderly, but these days it is also seen in children. What are the types of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis?
oligoarticular- Oligoarticular is a type of arthritis in which the knees and ankles are mostly affected. Sometimes the eyes of children are also affected. This type of arthritis is more likely to occur in girls below the age of 8 years.
Polyarticular- In Juvenile Arthritis, 30% of children have polyarticular arthritis, it affects more girls than boys, in which there is knee pain and pain in the joints of hands and feet.
Anthocystitis- Acanthitis is a type of juvenile arthritis, in which the spinal cord is affected, due to which the child may have abdominal pain. This type of arthritis affects children above 6 years of age.
systemic- Systemic arthritis is also very painful. In this type of disease, the child has swelling and pain in at least more than 1 joint. Apart from this, there may also be swelling in internal organs like heart, liver and lymph nodes. The child may have fever for about 2 weeks.
psoriatic- This is a type of inflammatory arthritis, due to which there is swelling in the fingers, toes, knees and back, along with pain in the joints and they become hard. Delaying its treatment can cause problems.

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, antirheumatic drugs are used to reduce inflammation and pain in juvenile arthritis, apart from this, regular exercise is also necessary, children should be fed nutritious food. Changes in diet and lifestyle can help in this. The symptoms of the disease can be controlled.
