The fitness expert recently shared the workout video on Instagram and tik tok, (which included her signature hashtag #fitover50) in response to a fan who commented, “I’m deleting all my other fitness TikToks and just keeping yours. But can you do some manual weight and kettlebell? For women over 50, of course!” in an earlier video from Austin.
Austin definitely complied with the fan’s request. She captioned the video: “#FitOver50 workouts with weights!” And in the clip, Austin is ready for work as she wears a blue tank top to work out. yoga pantsand sneakers while holding two roses, 3 pounds dumbbells.
“Here are three easy moves I like to do with my weights, they work your arms and lower half,” Austin explained. “Two workouts in one! Let’s start!”
Here’s a breakdown of exactly how to perform Austin’s weighted workout routine to join the #fitover50 movement.

“Make sure you work your arms, chest, and abs when you’re doing a pulldown,” explains Austin. He begins to stand with his feet hip-width apart and his arms extended straight up by his ears (with dumbbells in each hand!). Next, he lowers his hands to chest level as he lifts one leg toward his belly, alternating legs with each pull.

“The second exercise is a back twist, working your triceps and butt,” says Austin. He begins the movement with feet together, a slight bend in the knees, and a slight lean forward. Holding the dumbbells to his chest at a 90-degree angle, he steps back with one leg, creating a lunge, as he extends both arms back in line with his leg. Each rep alternates which leg moves back.
Bicep curl and hamstring curl
The final exercise is a combination of bicep curls and hamstring curls. “It works the back of those legs,” explains Austin. She begins this bouncing move with her legs in a wide stance, toes pointing slightly out. Her arms are placed directly beside her body and curl in toward her chest with each step she bounces, alternating which leg she lifts up and back toward her buttocks.
