Too much risk sitting : Due to excessive office work and inactive life, most people sit for 8-10 hours, which is dangerous for health. It is very common to have neck and back pain due to prolonged sitting, but due to this, dangerous diseases like heart disease and cancer can also increase.
A new study suggests that sitting for more than 10.5 hours a day may increase the risk of heart disease. The disadvantages of continuous work in a sitting position do not disappear even after exercise. So you should try to avoid this habit.

Sitting less reduces heart attack risk
A study by a team from MIT and Harvard claims that the less time people spend sitting or lying down, the heart-related risk will decrease. It also states that without any physical activity for 10.6 hours a day, a risk of heart failure and heart disease was found. In the study, data from 89,530 people was analyzed and monitored for a week using fitness trackers.
Of these, many people sat for 9.4 hours a day and some for 10.6 hours. High inflation was observed among those who sat a lot. The study showed that even among people who exercised regularly, the risk of heart failure was as high as 40%. The study found that if you are physically inactive and exercise, it has no effect.
Disadvantages of sitting for long periods of time
1. Sitting for a long time slows down the body’s metabolism. For this reason, despite regular exercise, the body’s ability to control blood sugar levels, blood pressure, fat levels and CO2 levels decreases.
2. Sitting for a long time can negatively impact cholesterol levels, increasing the risk to heart health. It also increases the risk of colon, breast and endometrial cancer. This disrupts blood circulation in the body. Increases the risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and causes weakness in the legs, glutes, spine and shoulders.
how to avoid danger
1. Maintain the right balance between sitting and exercise.
2. Try to take frequent breaks when sitting and working.
3. Take a short walk and call around your cabin or get up every 30 to 60 minutes.
4. If you have an active workplace like a standing desk or treadmill desk, stay active.
