Surprisingly, Bumstead revealed how the now fitness fanatic used to be a party animal back in the day. Therefore, when he decided to leave the games and pursue professional bodybuilding, the transition was not easy.

Chris Bumstead is a Canadian IFBB professional bodybuilder. He hails from Ottawa, Ontario, the capital of Canada. Bumstead has won three consecutive Mr. Olympia Classic Physique titles; He was also the runner-up in 2017 and 2018. He had to sacrifice a lot for his bodybuilding career, which mainly included his social life.

Chris Bumstead talks about his life before bodybuilding

Chris led a fairly social life during his college days, which affected his transition to bodybuilding. Like most teenagers his age, Bumstead liked to party with her friends. However, the sport required pure focus and dedication.

“I was a great social life guy,” boomstead said and continued, “I party a lot…Matt realized when he was with MHP he couldn’t talk to me because he was like drunk three times a week.”

“And I was like ok f**k if I want to do this and take this to the next level, I can’t live like this,” Bumstead said, continuing, “I was living in a house with five guys in college who just had a party.”

However, once Bumstead decided to pursue bodybuilding, there was no going back. He was determined, focused and ready to sacrifice his social life, among many other things, to achieve his dream.
