Bowen explains that the first exercise Britney nails is climbing up and down planks from a box. “This move works effectively on the core and arms,” she tells CelebWell.
Next, Britney uses a large physio ball and does physio ball raises followed by physio side bends. “This is a great exercise for strengthening your core,” says Bowen.
Next, Britney does front raises with a barbell. “This exercise helps strengthen your front delts/shoulders,” says Bowen.
Using a Roman chair, Britney performs leg lifts, which “target the core,” says Bowen. “Core strength exercises strengthen your core muscles, including your abdominal muscles, back muscles, and the muscles around your pelvis. Strong core muscles make it easy to do many physical activities,” says Mayo Clinic.
Next, Britney lies down on a bench and performs dumbbell raises, a simple but effective move that targets the chest.
Britney grabbed her exercise ball again, got on it and performed a set of sit-ups, working her abs again.
Then, he did some cardio. “Running on a non-motorized treadmill is one of the most effective ways to develop proper running technique,” explains Bowen. “Unlike standard electric treadmills, there are no on/off switches or complex buttons and adjustments to worry about. It’s a manual treadmill that helps train technical posture, balance and cadence.”
After jumping off the treadmill, Britney did a few cable pulls. “The triceps extension is an exercise you can do with a weight machine to work the muscle in the back of your upper arm. As the name implies, the triceps extension targets the triceps muscle, located here at the back of your upper arm. If done correctly, the triceps extension helps to strengthen and tone the back of your upper arm. If you use a cable system, you can also work your core muscles and improve your stability,” Dr Edward Laskowski from the Mayo Clinic says.
For her next workout, Britney performed a bridge that works everything from her glutes to her biceps.
In case you haven’t noticed, Britney’s workout involves a lot of abdominal work. For one of her final exercises, she lies on her back and does bicycle kicks.
Britney ends the set by going back into the bridge position and doing bridge kicks, before stretching and celebrating the end of her grueling routine.
