Clmbr’s home climbing machine offers a platoon-like experience for those who want to practice going up and down, rather than forward. The company today presents its new model, the Clmbr O2, with a series of hardware improvements for greater stability. But it’s the new service, Clmbr Vision, that will be most interesting to explore when it makes its debut. The company says Vision will offer “live, dynamic coaching and feedback while [users] exercise.”
Sadly Vision won’t arrive until early 2023, but users can enjoy many of the tweaks the new and improved O2 will offer. That includes a simplified center console that improves the overall strength of the machine and new gears and brakes that provide a wider range of strength options. These changes will also, it is promised, improve the machine’s lifespan (key, given the time you’ll spend working on it). Not to mention an improved screen, which is thinner and offers “sharper graphics” and more responsiveness, as well as the technology needed to deliver Vision.
Unfortunately, it is not known when users can benefit from the new live training, but the price does not change. The O2 will set you back $2,799, just like the current model (except, like now, when is it on sale). However, early risers who deposit their cash between September 1 and October 31 will be able to pick up the machine for $2,295, with shipping expected to begin in December.
