CM Khattar launches 3 online services, differently-abled to get pension at home – ET HealthWorld


Chandigarh: Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar On Wednesday he announced three online services to digitally empower people and said that people with disabilities (PwD) will now receive their pension benefits at home. The recently launched online services are: Proactive Divyang Pension Servicefrom you to poochhowhatsapp chatbot and online booking of government rest houses.

“These IT initiatives will prove to be a milestone in the state government’s vision of transparent and paperless governance,” Khattar said here.

About the proactive Divyang Pension Service for the physically disabled, Khattar said the government is committed to providing them with all services at their doorstep.

“Now, we have decided to give automated pension benefits to People with Disabilities (PcD) and said beneficiaries will not have to visit the offices to obtain their benefits,” he said.

Khattar told reporters that the data of disabled people who are more than 60 per cent disabled who are available under the Parivar Pehchan Patra (family identification) scheme will be certified by the Haryana Parivar Pehchan Authority every month.

“Data of all eligible disabled people after verification will be shared with the SEWA Department,” it said, adding that if all beneficiaries consent, pension benefits will start from next month.

Referring to another service, he said that the Haryana Parivar Pehchan Authority has created a whatsapp chatbot called ‘Tau Se Poochho‘ along with a web-based chatbot solution.

According to an official statement, the integrated bilingual chatbot is designed to provide quick responses to queries raised by citizens.

An analytical study of the inquiries received will certainly prove useful in the complaint resolution and resolution process, he said, while technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and natural language processing have been added to this integrated digital platform.

He said that by using the chatbot, recipients can check the progress of their applications for various services, including salary certificatemarriage certificate, public distribution system, ration card, caste certificate, pension, and complaints and claims.

Meanwhile, Khattar launched a portal for the reservation of rooms in PWD (B&R) rest houses, saying that now all rest houses can be booked online by government officials and individuals.
