Vaccines halved deaths in 1 year
Globally, mathematical modeling studies have found that a vaccine for COVID-19 has reduced the potential mortality rate during the pandemic by about 20 million, or more than half, in 1 year. This research states that out of a possible 31.4 million COVID-19 deaths in the first year of the vaccination program, 19.8 million were prevented worldwide. This estimate was made on the basis of 185 countries.
The study said that if the World Health Organization had met the target of vaccinating 40% of the population of all countries with two or more vaccine doses by the end of 2021, about 5,99,300 lives could have been saved. . Data between December 8, 2020 and December 8, 2021 have been included in this study.

In this study about India, it has been said that within a year, 42,10,000 deaths were prevented by the vaccine in India. This shows that the vaccination campaign in India has saved millions of lives.
