Air pollution is a major cause of insulin resistance and the incidence of type 2 diabetes mellitus.   2. Industrial pollution – The effects of industrial pollution on your health can range from irritation in your eyes and throat to breathing problems, which can often lead to chronic illness.

  4. Agricultural activity – Nowadays, for rapid growth of crops and vegetation, pesticides and fertilizers are mixed with new invasive species that are not found in nature. A diet rich in fatty fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids helps improve blood sugar levels and lipids. People with diabetes should consume certain fish like salmon, mackerel, sardines, herring, trout, which are great sources of omega-3 fatty acids. For those who are vegetarian, plant-based sources such as kelp and spirulina would be a good option.
