Japan has become an inspiration for developing nations. But in reality, you see a lot of workplace deaths due to ‘Karoshi’, which literally translates to ‘death from overwork’, a Japanese term related to unforeseen occupational mortality. With the increasing trend of excessive shifts in India, we are not far from catching up with the ‘karoshi’ phenomenon.

Although we have made progress in various fields, it is still considered weak to show that you are struggling mentally and that what you are facing right now has surpassed you. Ups and downs in a relationship, a rough patch in a marriage, problems with children, empty nest syndrome: despite all these worries, why do we still have to physically call in sick with a fever when it’s our minds that want to rest?
