New Delhi: The Center is planning to repurpose two key pillars of the country’s digital health system that were used to track Covid-19 – CoWIN And Health Bridge – as IndiaHealth app of.

National Health Authority (NHA) CEO RS Sharma said Arogya Setu is being repurposed as India’s health app while CoWIN is being repurposed for the National Immunization Programme.

Addressing the two-day Arogya Manthan 2022, Sharma said, “Arogya Setu is now being repurposed as India’s health app. CoWIN, the Covid-19 vaccination portal is being repurposed as a national immunization program and a health management information system for junior doctors.” Program on Sunday to mark the completion of 4 years of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) and 1 year of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).

He said that hopefully with Covid no longer posing a threat, the app is being modified to address India’s digital health concerns. People will not have to wait in long queues to get checked in the hospital, they can just scan the OPD card, he added.

The two-day Arogya Manthan 2022 program was inaugurated by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandvia on sunday. Highlighting PMJAY beneficiaries as the most important stakeholders in the largest global public health insurance scheme, Mandaviya said that more than 19 crore Ayushman cards have been generated in the country and spread its coverage across 33 states/UTs, and more than 24 crore Ayushman Bharat health accounts.
