Government data shows that more than 140 dengue cases have been reported in the national capital so far this year, including 32 in June. In Delhi, 23 cases of dengue were reported in January, 16 in February, 22 in March, 20 in April and 30 in May, the civic report said.

Dengue cases in Delhi: A look at the main numbers
- The number of dengue cases reported in Delhi this year had risen to 143 by July 2. According to the Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD), no deaths have been reported so far.

Union Minister Mansukh Mandvia called on the states to launch ‘Jana Abhiyan’ or public campaign with ‘Log Participation’ (Lok Bhagidari) to encourage and engage citizens and communities to ensure that mosquitoes do not breed in the neighborhood.
Mandvia, who reviewed preparations for the prevention and control of vector-borne diseases with 13 high-burden states, said in a video conference that “log partnership” was important to launch a ‘mass campaign’ for vector control and eradication, a health ministry statement said. .
The 13 high-burden states include Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tripura, Delhi, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Tamil Nadu, the statement said.
