According to a study published in the Journal of Technology in Behavioral Science, ignoring social media for 15 minutes showed an average of 15 percent improvement in immune function, including colds, flu, warts, and verrucas. The study also claimed that it improved sleep quality by 50 percent and reduced depression by 30 percent. Professor Phil Reid, from Swansea University’s School of Psychology, said the data suggest that when people reduce their social media use, there can be many improvements in their lives. His physical health and psychological health can also get a lot of benefit.

Phil Reid said that it is yet to be confirmed whether social media actually has a deep connection with health or not. The social media platform sometimes becomes an addiction for some people and can lead to anxiety, depression and even many diseases. The less the use of social media, the better it is for health.
