That is, doing too much exercise can also harm the body and dieting too much. That is why you should not follow hunger control tips but hunger management tips. This is what is being told here…
Why do you feel hungry?
Ghrelin, a hormone produced in our stomach, is responsible for awakening the feeling of hunger. This hormone is also known as hunger hormone. The special thing is that when we sleep, the level of this hormone increases the most in our body. The increase in the level of ghrelin makes us hungry and when we eat something, the level of insulin in our body starts increasing. This insulin prompts us to eat more. This is the reason that until we do not feel full, we keep on eating food.
How to control hunger?
A much healthier way than controlling hunger is to manage your hunger. For this you can adopt any of the two methods mentioned here…
1. Intermittent Fasting: This is such a way of fasting i.e. fasting, in which you do not consume anything other than water for a few hours a day. By doing this, it helps to control the secretion of ghrelin inside the body and maintain insulin levels and as a result, your appetite is managed.
- In the beginning, when you try it, there are some problems but within a few days you get used to it and then the body gives a feeling of hunger at the same time, which you have set for the meal.
- After having breakfast at 7 or 8 in the morning, fix the time for dinner at 7 to 8 in the evening and in the meantime take only water, coconut water, lemonade or black-tea etc.
2. Alternate Day Fasting: Another way to manage hunger and hunger hormones is by fasting every other day. This method is also as effective as intermittent fasting. You should eat low-fat and low-oil sattvik food (vegetarian and less spicy food) all three times on one day and keep a complete fast on the second day. On this day only you take liquid diet and eat fruits. Do not consume sugary and high-calorie drinks even in liquid diet.
